Alliott Group, the world’s sixth largest, multidisciplinary alliance of professional services firms, has expanded its presence in the Latin American legal marketplace by appointing Ortiz González Luarte Abogados (OGL) as their exclusive law firm member in Chile.

Following recent expansion to Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, and Mexico, appointing a dynamic, medium sized law firm in Chile was an important priority for Alliott Group. OGL’s affiliation ensures that 175 member firms in 72 countries worldwide can now place their clients with a vetted and trusted legal partner in Chile.

OGL’s practice areas are Banking and Finance, Private Client & Expat Law, Insolvency and Re-entrepreneurship, International Commerce, Real Estate, Construction and Engineering, Litigation and Arbitration, and Corporate M&A. Established in 2014, the top 50 firm is led by three partners, including the co-founders Rodrigo Ortiz Krause and Marcos González Wittig, and partner Jaime Luarte Julio. Their team conducts business in Spanish, English, and German, and are highly regarded for their work with clients across the forestry, construction and engineering, renewable energy, banking, and real estate sectors. OGL is recognised in The Legal 500 for its Dispute Resolution work.

Rodrigo comments:

“I am extremely pleased that we have been selected as Alliott Group’s law firm member in Chile. By joining this prestigious alliance, we now have an international platform with solid links to experienced professionals across many jurisdictions, helping us meet our strategic objective to be known as a global law firm in the local market. We can now also offer our clients with business interests in other regions, including in the USA, Brazil, Spain and the UK, the additional legal and accounting expertise they need.”

Alliott Group COO Giles Brake adds:

“I am really excited to welcome OGL to our international alliance and to expand our reach to one of Latin America’s fastest growing economies. With the global reach they now offer to clients, OGL will be able to compete against the larger firms for clients who want to collaborate with local lawyers who have a global mindset and access to cross border resources.”

Alliott Group’s Latin American membership is growing organically at a steady rate with Estudio Nunes & Asociados Abogados (Argentina), Consulcamp Auditoria e Assessoria (Brazil), Vazquez Tercero & Zepeda (Mexico), DV Business Solutions in Costa Rica and TFL in Ecuador all joining within the last year.
