Our digital collaboration
hub has gone live

Held at Fares Legal’s headquarters on 24 June, the seminar brought together senior public officials, international legal and business experts, and industry leaders for an in-depth exchange on Algeria’s economic development and its expanding role in global trade and innovation.

Keynote Contributions from Algerian Institutions

The team, led by Managing Partner Yannil Belbachir and Founding Partner Rodolfo Drudi at Fares Legal were privileged to welcome keynote contributions from Mohamed Sebbagh, Head of Department, INAPI (National Institute of Industrial Property) and Houssem Eddine Hamrouche, Head of Public Relations & Information Systems, Algerian Customs Authority.

Both experts provided crucial local perspectives on Algeria’s regulatory environment, focusing on intellectual property, trade facilitation, and customs reforms.

Global Expertise from Across the Alliance

Adding further value were remote contributions from AGA colleagues Patrick Geißler, Partner, at AGA law firm representative Audalis (Germany) and Kherina Narotam, Associate Attorney at AGA’s law firm member SST Attorneys (South Africa).

Patrick and Kherina provided global insight into cross-border compliance, legal innovation, and export-readiness strategies, particularly within European (SEBAM) and Southern Africa (SACU) regulatory environments.

Participants also engaged in key discussions focused on:

  • Navigating regulatory compliance and export facilitation in Algeria and beyond
  • Embracing digital transformation and green practices for sustainable growth
  • Fostering cross-sector collaboration between government, industry, and international advisors

The seminar concluded with a high impact networking session involving representatives from a diverse group of organizations including GSK, BERGERAT MONNOYEUR, Oxy, Hayat DHC, Hydra Pharm SPA, EVER Pharma, Tassili Airlines, CEI – Club des Entrepreneurs et Industriels, and XiRang Technology FZCO.

Looking Ahead – A Platform for Growth

Rodolfo Drudi, commented:

“On behalf of Fares Legal, I would like to extend our sincere thanks to all our guest speakers for their invaluable contributions. Their presentations and active participation made the event a true success.
“We were especially pleased with the depth of exchange on global regulatory frameworks—such as SEBAM in Europe and SACU in South Africa—and how these relate to Algeria’s evolving trade environment. The diversity of our audience, spanning industries from pharmaceuticals to energy and finance, underlined the timeliness and relevance of these discussions.
“Membership of AGA allows us to build these valuable international bridges. This initiative would not have been possible without the tremendous support of our colleagues across the Alliance. We hope to hold many more international and collaborative seminars in future.”
