Expertly hosted by local firms Madrona Fialho Advogados and Consulcamp, the aim of the conference was to deliver opportunities to develop member firms’ understanding of each other’s businesses and countries as well as to deepen personal relationships.

The alliance has expanded significantly in the Latin America & Caribbean region in recent years and now has a presence in some 70% of the Latin American continent. The first Caribbean island law member (Ulises Cabrera, Dominican Republic) was appointed in June. The representatives from new member firms were introduced formally, and the more established members shared the latest developments at their firms and stories about the positive impact AGA is having on their firms including winning new clients and elevating their firms’ local profiles. Attendees also had time to discuss strategies to drive collaboration, stimulate new business between their firms and share practice management insights.

Guest speakers were also invited to present on trends on the political and economic landscape in Latin America and on changes to the way in which corporate executives buy professional services and how professional firms need to adapt.

A programme of social and evening events offered members the opportunity to network and learn more about each other, while enjoying the very best of São Paulo’s culture and cuisine.

Giles Brake, CEO, commented:

“This was our largest Latin America and Caribbean conference to date. The content delivered new insights, our members connected on a different level, and we committed to making plans for the immediate future that will bring member firms even closer together. Thank you to our excellent hosts Madrona Fialho Advogados and Consulcamp. We look forward to next year’s conference.”

Across Latin America and the Caribbean, AGA has member firms in Argentina, Bolivia, Belize, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Saint Kitts & Nevis, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
