Mininel, a corporate and M&A lawyer and São Paulo native, will serve a three-year term. He served a short term as Deputy of the region under previous Chair Santiago Lussich-Torrendell who steps down from the committee after a successful four-year tenure. Mininel will be supported by Adrian Vazquez, Managing Partner at Vazquez Tercero & Zepeda, AGA’s legal representative in Mexico. Vazquez steps into the Deputy Chair role.

Mininel takes charge of a regional grouping of law and accounting firms that has expanded significantly in the last five years. The alliance now has law and accounting firm representation in 17 countries across Latin America and the Caribbean and has plans to achieve full regional coverage to meet the needs of international investors and corporations.

Mininel will play an important role in not only representing the views of the region’s members at Board level, but also in helping to steer an alliance strategy aimed at better meeting the evolving requirements of the international business community and the professional advisors who represent them.

Danilo comments:

“It is an honour to be appointed Chair of the Latin America and Caribbean Advisory Committee following the great tenure held by Santiago and to work alongside Adrian to support the Worldwide Board with the next stages of their strategic planning across this important jurisdiction.

“I am looking forward to continuing our focus on the expansion of AGA in Latin America and the Caribbean, and to working closely with our new and established regional members with a view to developing further mutually beneficial and collaborative business opportunities.”

Alliott Global Alliance CEO, Giles Brake adds:

“Danilo’s elevation to our Board reflects his ability to contribute invaluable ideas and to lead people in turning these ideas into action and tangible results. I have no doubt that Danilo will continue to make a significant impact on our upward trajectory as an alliance in the years ahead.”

Across Latin America and the Caribbean, AGA has member firms in Argentina, Barbados, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Saint Kitts & Nevis, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
