Biography
Steven represents clients in complex real estate transactions, focusing on the disposition, development, and leasing of commercial real estate. He also represent clients throughout the zoning and planning process. He has represented real estate developers and property owners on a variety of land use issues, including zoning changes, specific use permits, abandonments, annexation, signage, permitting, and planned development districts. He has also represented clients before boards of adjustment on variances and special exceptions.
Steven has represented clients in a broad range of matters from complex commercial disputes to catastrophic tort cases involving construction, deceptive trade practices, and premises liability matters.He is experienced in all phases of litigation from investigation to trial. He also represents clients in litigation disputes with local governmental entities involving takings, inverse condemnation, vested rights, and the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act (RLUIPA).
Steven represents contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers in disputes involving construction defect claims, bond claims, mechanic's and materialmen's liens, architect and engineer professional liability, and payment claims.
