Formerly known as the ‘Future Leaders Programme’, some 40 ambitious attendees from Europe, North America and Latin America enjoyed a unique programme of learning and practical business sessions, networking and social activities aimed at creating long term impact at their firms and building their own personal brand.

Taking place annually, this carefully constructed and very practical two-day staff training programme exposes delegates to the benefits of AGA, builds high level leadership skills, and assists potential future leaders at AGA law and accounting member firms to develop an effective international peer group. It is designed to help any valued member of staff to reach their next level, and adds value to the HR and talent management programmes of member firms that are invested in the development of their team members.

The event kicked off with a welcome and introduction to AGA by Sophia Rook-Blackstone, AGA’s Membership Growth Manager. The programme’s leadership coaches then proceeded to facilitate the first of their interactive sessions which focused on motivation and engagement and strategies to create long-term impact.

Day two started with a practical workshop on self leadership including how to understand your strengths and implement a learning and career development plan and how to forge professional relationships inside and outside of the alliance. The training concluded with a session on how to build your own professional brand.

The event’s training sessions were interspersed with unique opportunities to network and experience the hospitality on offer in the historical city of Lisbon.

Giles Brake, CEO of Alliott Global Alliance comments:

"Ensuring the next generation of leaders has access to the skills needed to transition to more senior roles at their firms is one of our main concerns, so we are hugely encouraged that so many ambitious and proactive rising stars joined us at this training event.

“An average score of 9.7 out of 10 indicates this programme hit the mark and has made a real impact on the personal and professional lives of our up-and-coming professionals.”
