Alliott Global Alliance (‘AGA’) has expanded further into Australia by appointing Sydney based law firm Deutsch Miller specialising in corporate advisory and dispute resolution work.

Founded in 2009, the firm’s highly experienced partners add significant strength in corporate, commercial, finance, and dispute resolution to AGA’s Australasian alliance. The 20-lawyer firm serves international companies but also domestic small to medium sized businesses that want to expand regionally or globally, and has noted expertise in the technology, professional/IT services, real estate, financial services and consumer and retail sectors.

The team at Deutsch Miller intends to use Alliance membership as a platform for increasing their profile and positioning themselves at the apex of client service by providing clients with access to a global network of professionals. The firm was recently recognised for a 12th consecutive year in the 2023 Legal 500 Asia Pacific edition and is one of only two premium boutique firms in Australia to enjoy this distinction. The fast-growing firm is situated in Sydney’s CBD district and has expanded its partnership in the last few years and doubled the amount of office space to accommodate the growth of their team.

Staff speak a variety of languages at the firm including English, Korean, Mandarin, Portuguese, Greek, Italian and Spanish.

Partner Alistair Jaque comments:

“We are delighted to have been appointed as AGA’s law firm representative in New South Wales. We intend to use the alliance and the opportunities it can bring as a platform to increase visibility of our growing international profile and place ourselves at the apex of client services by highlighting our access to a global network of professionals that can assist our clients further afield with their worldwide business requirements.

“We look forward to collaborating with as many members as possible, sharing practice management issues and using our membership as an incentive for talent acquisition and retention. Likewise, we can now add tangible value to AGA law and accounting members with clients operating in the global economy.”

Alliott Global Alliance’s CEO, Giles Brake adds:

“We are delighted to announce our affiliation with Deutsch Miller. Their strong corporate offerings, growing profile and international orientation are all key factors in why Deutsch Miller has been selected as our sole law firm representative in New South Wales. They are a firm that is flying high, and joining AGA gives them the global resources they need to soar even higher. We extend a very warm welcome to Mark, Paul, Alistair, Chris, Shane, and the rest of the team in Sydney.”

Through affiliation with AGA, local independent law and accounting firms can offer clients global reach and access to an extensive range of professional services that enable them to compete head-on with the larger international firms in their jurisdictions. Across the Asia Pacific region, AGA has member firms in China, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Australia, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Nepal, Pakistan, Thailand, Taiwan, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
