Established in 1993 by Managing Partner Peter Pang, the firm has helped many companies across a wide spectrum of industries to establish and grow their operations securely and quickly in China. IPO Pang also assists foreign enterprises to manage their China business by obtaining hard to get licenses, permits, approvals, right to operate certificates, and government support for their Chinese ventures. Clients operate in the manufacturing, automotive, distribution, health and life sciences and IT sectors.

The firm’s expertise in advising on foreign direct investment includes intellectual property and a specialisation in franchising law, with the firm recently advising a US premium fast-food chain on their expansion to Mainland China.

Business at the firm is conducted in the English, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Shanghainese languages. Pang, who is a dual citizen of the US and China, spends time in both jurisdictions. He is also active in the ABA, IBA and INTA.

Pang comments:

“We are excited to be part of such an esteemed and dynamic alliance and to represent AGA in Shanghai. We look forward to meeting and forming close business relationships with our fellow members in the APAC region and worldwide and to sharing resources and aligning our international marketing initiatives.

“In turn, we are now pleased to be able to offer our clients access to law and accounting firms in over 90 countries, and to providing quality support to those looking to expand into different jurisdictions.”

Alliott Global Alliance CEO, Giles Brake, adds:

“With 40 staff, IPO Pang is an ideal size for Alliott Global Alliance’s network of mid-size firms in the Asia region. However, what sets this firm apart is their history of success of helping multinationals and entrepreneurial companies to navigate complex Chinese bureaucracy in an expeditious and cost-effective manner. Clients across the world will be in excellent hands in this key global market with our new colleagues in China. Welcome to Peter and his outstanding team of lawyers. “

Following recent appointments in the Philippines (AAA and Co. CPAs), AGA can now offer a wide range of professional services via its member firms in China, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Australia, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Nepal, Pakistan, Thailand, Taiwan, Philippines, and Vietnam.
