Since the law firm’s expansion into Suffolk in 2014, the team has grown by 289% and has built a strong reputation for its dedication to delivering excellent client service from start to finish, which has resulted in an increase of 39% in its fee income in the last 12 months.

The award-winning office, located at Wherstead Park, provides a comprehensive range of services to both corporate and private clients. Ellisons’ Ipswich office has grown significantly since its opening in 2014 with the Employment team, headed by Julian Outen expanding by 300% and the Corporate and Commercial team, led by Jon Bloor increasing by 50%.

The firm has welcomed Matthew Preston-Bloom, its first residential property solicitor in Ipswich, Petra Sharp, Senior Associate to the corporate and commercial team and Catherine Abbott, Partner to the commercial property team. Its construction team, headed by newly promoted Ian Seeley, Senior Associate will also be expanding in the near future. Further growth is planned within Ellisons’ residential property, family, dispute resolution and private client teams in the Ipswich office, and continued expansion in its corporate service offerings.

Guy Longhurst, Managing Partner at Ellisons said:

“It has been an incredibly exciting year for the Ipswich team. We have a strong team of 35 colleagues, with increased expertise across different practice areas. Suffolk is a thriving market with a great community spirit which ties in well with Ellisons’ values, and we are very much looking forward to continuing working with our existing and new clients providing an excellent service and acting as their trusted advisers, both in terms of legal services and independent financial advice as well as international business.”

Anniversary celebrations have already been held for the firm’s intermediaries, with further celebrations planned for colleagues and fellow tenants at Wherstead Park later this month.

Ellisons was established in 1764, evolving over time into one of the East of England’s fastest-growing, full-service law firms.
