Alliott Group, the international alliance of independent professional services firms, has increased its presence in West Africa by appointing Nigerian law firm AAA Chambers as their exclusive law member in the country.

The move meets the group’s need for an established and reliable provider of business law services in Nigeria and provides another foothold in Africa’s largest economy and one from which the alliance can expand further across the African continent.

Established in 2011 and located in the heart of the commercial district of Lagos, this Top 10 firm is headed up by highly experienced senior shareholder and founding partner Adetunji Adedoyin-Adeniyi. The firm has two additional partners and 23 associates and support staff who collectively have gained multi-jurisdictional legal experience and who excel in providing advice related to commercial and banking law, company secretarial law, debt recovery and insolvency work, asset and property management, land disputes, wills and probate, M&A and family law.

AAA Chambers is also highly regarded for its work serving a wide range of clients including those in the banking, telecommunications, insurance, real estate, aviation and oil and gas industries. Their strategy over the next few years includes strengthening their service offering by targeting clients in the maritime and construction sectors and partnering with organisations such as Alliott Group that can help to grow and internationalise their client base.

Founding Partner Adetunji Adedoyin-Adeniyi comments:

“It is a pleasure to be part of the Alliott Group family. Through our membership we now have global reach and can support and advise local clients looking for opportunities outside of Nigeria and foreign clients who are investing in Nigeria’s diversifying economy”..

Alliott Group COO Giles Brake adds:

“I am proud to welcome AAA Chambers to our international alliance. Throughout our due diligence process, the firm’s leadership team has demonstrated not only the high level expertise we have been looking for in Nigeria, but also a dynamic and responsive approach– these are valuable qualities which will differentiate them in the Nigerian medium sized law firm marketplace. Furthermore, their services complement those offered by our accounting firm in Abuja, G.E. Osagie & Co."

Nigeria is Africa’s largest economy due to its production levels of oil and gas and is now the biggest beneficiary of foreign direct investment in Africa. Nigeria's population (201 million) is expected to surpass that of the US by 2050, according to new UN projections that predict it could be the world's third most populous country by the end of the 21st century.

Alliott Group in Africa is growing organically at a steady rate and currently has a presence in South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Tunisia, Egypt, Morocco and Zambia. The alliance is targeting further expansion into West Africa, but also into Sub-Saharan Africa, East Africa and North Africa.
