Biography

Zhanbek Aynabekov Advocate is Legal Counsel and Compliance & Risk Expert. Zhanbek is a highly experienced legal professional with over 15 years in the field. He holds a law degree with honors from L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (2004). He began his career in law enforcement, gaining a solid foundation in investigation and national security. In 2007, he transitioned to the quasi-public sector, holding legal positions at major institutions including Samgau National Holding, KazMunayGas, and Olympex Advisers, where he worked on corporate governance, contracts, and regulatory compliance. From 2012, he served as Head of Legal at Astana Innovations, supporting tech and infrastructure projects. He later worked with the Ministry of Education on legal matters related to science and higher education. Between 2017 and 2022, Zhanbek led the legal and internal audit functions at Qazaqselmash Group, a diversified holding company with subsidiaries in logistics, industry, and agriculture. His responsibilities included legal strategy, internal compliance, and corporate risk management. Since 2023, Zhanbek has been practicing as an advocate and is a member of the Karaganda Bar Association, representing clients in civil, administrative, and commercial matters.
